Child-centred practice that nurtures wellbeing, deepens learning, and helps children thrive.
Who is this for?
All early years practitioners from apprentices to leaders, who want to place children at the heart of every decision and create environments where children feel safe, valued, and deeply engaged in their learning.
What will you do?
You will:

- Explore what child-centred practice really looks like in everyday moments
- Learn how to observe children meaningfully and use this to inform next steps
- Understand the importance of emotional wellbeing, involvement, and engagement
- Use tools such as the Leuven Scale to recognise deep learning in action
- Examine how environments, routines, and adult decisions impact children
- Practise seeing the setting through the child’s eyes
- Explore real examples from practice to connect theory to daily reality
What are the benefits?
Child-centred practice leads to:

- Higher levels of engagement, involvement, and deep learning
- Learning experiences shaped by children’s interests and needs
- Stronger relationships between children and practitioners
