Who is this for?
This course is for all Early Years Teachers working in a setting during mealtimes and who want to enhance sustainability practices in light of recent government guidance.
What will you do?
You will consider your current mealtime and sustainability arrangements and consider where they can be enhanced. This will lead to the creation of an action plan that can be shared and owned by the team to in turn enhance practices, making them more meaningful and sustainable.
What are the benefits?
Mealtimes are a vital part of all our lives, they are a chance to come together and talk, eat and be happy. They can also be times where the safety needs of children are at their highest. The content shared will help your setting to have safer and more meaningful mealtimes, where relationships are deepened and experiences are heightened. In terms of sustainability, as well as adhering to latest government standards, your setting will be contributing to a greener and more sustainable planet.
This is vital considering the notion that we don’t inherit this planet from our parents, we borrow it from our children. So we have a responsibility to look after it.
