Continuous Curiosity – The Always Growing Way (creating a nursery vision)

Who is this for?

This course is for early years practitioners, leaders and support staff who want to shape a strong, shared sense of purpose in their setting. Whether you already have a vision and philosophy or are starting from scratch, this course helps you bring it to life so that everyone on your team understands it, believes in it and lives it each day.

What will you do?

In this course, we’ll share “The Always Growing Way” — our own example of a setting vision and philosophy — to show what it can look like in practice. You’ll explore what sits behind it, how it guides decisions, and how you might adapt the principles to fit your own community and context.

By the end, you’ll:

  • Begin to shape or refine your own version of your setting’s way.
  • Understand what makes a clear, meaningful setting vision.
  • Reflect on the beliefs and values that drive your team.
  • Identify ways to make your vision visible in daily practice.

What are the benefits?

A setting with a strong shared philosophy has:

  • A clear sense of direction and purpose that everyone understands.
  • A consistent, confident approach to caring for and educating children.
  • Team members who feel ownership and pride in their shared identity.
  • Families who feel connected to your values and trust your care.

When everyone contributes to a shared “way” that reflects your setting’s heart, you create a culture that feels confident, coherent and full of life.
